Student Connections was recognized by IndyStar as one of the “Top Workplaces of 2018”. This was based on a nomination and employee survey conducted by Energage, working in partnership with IndyStar.
In April of 2019, Student Connections’ WhichWay team was announced as a finalist for the TechPoint MIRA Awards. The WhichWay team was nominated for “Tech Educator of the Year”. This category is for patient individuals adopting, demonstrating and encouraging the use of technology in classrooms across Indiana. TechPoint described Student Connections as “mission-driven and tech-enable, working to help solve one of our country’s biggest economic challenges and changing lives while they do it.”
WhichWay, formally known as Success Center, has been named as a finalist for the 2017 Tech Edvocate Awards Best Higher Education App by The Edvocate and The Tech Edvocate.
The North-American Interfraternity Conference has recognized Student Connections as a Diamond Alliance Partner. This association, founded in 1909, advocates for fraternities through enriching the experience; advancing and growing the community; and enhancing the educational mission of host institutions
In late 2016, Student Connections received a patent (US 9,495,704) for its Borrower Connect™ cohort management technology solution. Borrower Connect pools all cohort data in one secure, web-based platform that generates predicative analysis to help colleges and universities reduce federal student loan cohort default rates (CDRs). It also offers a data-driven borrower engagement system that matches communication and loan counseling methods to the unique circumstances of individual student loan borrowers so they can avoid defaulting.
For three straight years, University Business magazine has named Borrower Connect™ to its list of top products. The Reader’s Choice Top Product awards recognize products that are making a positive difference on college campuses. University Business editors select the winners from hundreds of nominations submitted by readers.
In 2013, the Brandon Hall Group Excellence in Learning Awards Program named our financial literacy and student success program a gold medal winner as an Extended Enterprise Learning Program.
