WhichWay is Now CashCourse

Personal financial wellness is the cornerstone of student success. Our commitment to this principle led Student Connections to create WhichWay, an award-winning financial literacy platform that’s been used by over 41,000 postsecondary students.

We are proud of our legacy and always looking to improve upon it. That’s why we have merged WhichWay with CashCourse, one of the best-known financial-literacy tools in higher ed.

This move is the result of a strategic partnership with the Higher Education Financial Wellness Alliance (HEFWA), the nation’s largest organization of postsecondary financial educators. Working together, we now offer a more robust platform to a much larger body of students, and have a plan to sustain development into the foreseeable future.

The new CashCourse platform was launched in June 2025. It is now available to both HEFWA member schools and Student Connections partner schools.

What’s New for WhichWay Users?

The rollout of CashCourse delivers a major upgrade to the WhichWay experience. What can previous WhichWay users expect?

  • New Assets — A new Budget Wizard, Knowledge Base and worksheet library have been added to the platform.
  • Improved User Experience — A visual makeover and updated user interface make navigation easier than ever.
  • Fully Accessible — All courses and assets are designed to accommodate learners with vision and hearing impairments.
  • The Same Great Courses — WhichWay’s lessons and exercises have been ported directly to the new platform.

The Future of CashCourse

Student Connections’ partnership with HEFWA is ongoing. By working together, we will ensure that both our customers and HEFWA’s member schools have access to a financial-wellness platform that keeps pace with changes in content and technology.

It will also connect our internal development team to HEFWA’s nationwide network of financial-wellness instructors. That means CashCourse’s development will be influenced by hundreds of subject matter experts who work with students on a daily basis. This will help us keep our materials relevant to the evolving needs of learners.
